Families can enjoy a brand-new way to read and explore the outdoors with the opening of a Storybook Trail at Peacock Hill Nature Park.
Created through a partnership between the Williamson County Public Library and Williamson County Parks and Recreation, the trail combines the joy of reading with the beauty of nature. Pages from The Busy Tree by Jennifer Ward are displayed on signs along the half-mile trail, allowing children and families to experience the story as they walk together.
The project was made possible through a grant from the Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation and support from the Williamson County Public Library Foundation.
Peacock Hill Nature Park is located at 6990 Giles Hills Road, College Grove, TN 37046.
The Storybook Trail is free and open to the public during park hours. For more information about the trail or other Library initiatives, visit wcpltn.org. GELF mission: To strengthen early literacy in Tennessee. For more information on the Storybook Trail program, visit governorsfoundation.org.
